Ostrom Family Photoshoot at Wayfarer’s Chapel in Palos Verdes California was set to be a wonderful shoot from the start! It was a day of laughs, love, family, old friends, childhood memories and cultural beauty. It also happened to be one one the first beautiful days of a SoCal Summer.
On the afternoon of the Ostrom’s first ever professional family photoshoot, the sun was nice enough to peak out after many days of June-gloom in Southern California. Perfect weather!
We knew we were in for a great time with the Ostrom Family because Erin was friends with Heather, had gone to school with both Heather and Jeff, camp counselors with Heather, and even played high school soccer with them too! We arrived on location with Erin saying, “this is a great family and going to be A LOT of fun!” IT WAS.
Some of our favorite family photos sessions are when clients want to re-create their childhood photos! So when we got the call from the Ostrom’s, we were absolutely thrilled to be apart of a special shoot for them. Not only was it their first professional family photoshoot, they were we going to re-create some childhood photos and also planned to highlight their Japanese culture with traditional Kimonos!
Wayfarer’s Chapel in Palos Verdes California, the natural sanctuary of Palos Verdes, sits nestled in a grove of towering redwoods on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Designed by renowned organic architect Lloyd Wright, the stone and glass structure gives unique expression to the sacred space that welcomes all Wayfarers along life’s path.
Here is a look at some of our favorite photos from the day!
